Stanford Medicine National Daily Health Survey for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Our partners at Stanford Medicine have recently launched an incredibly helpful initiative called the National Daily Health Survey. The information collected will help inform policymakers and public guidance as we work globally to fight the spread of COVID-19.

The goal of the daily survey is to learn and predict which geographical areas will be most impacted by coronavirus based on how you are feeling. This information will be used to inform local and national responses, such as redirecting medical resources or improving policies and public guidance. Given the 9-10 day delay between onset of symptoms and hospitalization, and the 20% hospitalization rate of patients, tools like this will be necessary to truly track and fight the spread.

How Does It Work?

You will be asked a series of short questions, which will be displayed just like most messaging applications.  The first day you participate, this should take about 2-3 minutes, with the assessment each day after taking only about 1 minute.

The information will be used, along with local test results, to predict surges and severity of Novel Coronavirus by region to guide health officials on when shelter in place orders could be safely lifted.

Please consider taking the survey. Your involvement could save lives.

This is a research study. You will be asked to agree to participate after reading the consent form.
