Vanessa started her career as an educator in New York City, where she discovered her passion for supporting students with diverse needs. Now back in the Bay, she’s committed to creating a classroom where all students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow. Vanessa loves helping students see how what they’re learning connects to the real world— whether it’s using math to plan a trip, crafting persuasive essays to tackle real-life issues, or diving into hands-on science projects.
When she’s not teaching, you can usually find her curled up with a book, jotting down ideas at a cozy café, or spending time with her cats. Her favorite part of being a teacher? Watching her students discover their unique strengths and use them to make an impact.
