Dr. Shreya Lakhan-Pal (she/her) is a licensed psychologist who provides mental health support to children, adolescents, young adults, and families with a range of clinical concerns, including anxiety, depression, healing from trauma or adversity, identity development, and emotional dysregulation. She approaches each individual with a compassionate, collaborative, strengths-based, culturally responsive, and developmentally informed approach. Dr. Lakhan-Pal is dedicated to providing evidence-backed care, with experience in a range of therapeutic services, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and PC-CARE. She also has experience conducting comprehensive psychological testing.
Dr. Lakhan-Pal completed her undergraduate studies in Cognitive Science and Education at UC Berkeley. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical and Developmental Psychology at the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development. As a graduate student, she conducted research on the emotion regulation in children and adolescents, including consequences of early life stress, protective factors such as positive parenting, and neurobiological development. She completed both her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship with the UC Davis Health Clinical Child and Adolescent Training Program.
Outside the office, Dr. Lakhan-Pal prioritizes spending time with family and friends. This includes playing with her sweet pup Rosie, enjoying Bay Area nature, and traveling often. During downtime, she can be found solving crosswords and other word games or discovering the world of anime.
