Melanie Salas is a Bay Area born and raised advocate and educator, committed to creating inclusive and accessible spaces to foster community. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Justice, Community, and Leadership and Ethnic Studies minor from Saint Mary’s College of California in May 2023. In her most recent role as Coordinator of the Intercultural Center at Saint Mary’s College, Melanie supported the work of student staff in their creation of programs, events, and celebrations rooted in social justice. She is passionate about supporting the growth of students in collaboration with staff, families, and peers.
She is excited to be joining the team at EBC, continuing her work of empowering students to flourish in their learning. In her free time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, watching sunsets, and going to concerts.
