Dr. Maya Chatav (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience providing comprehensive psychological assessment and psychotherapy to children, adolescents and families. Dr. Chatav graduated with honors from Barnard College, Columbia University with a BA in history. She went on to complete her MS and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, with an emphasis in Child and Adolescent psychology. While in graduate school, Dr. Chatav conducted research in the Department of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics at Stanford University, looking at the impact of preterm birth on toddlers’ executive functioning. Dr. Chatav completed her predoctoral internship at the University of California, San Francisco’s Child Trauma Research Program, and her postdoctoral residency in private practice in Los Altos.

Dr. Chatav has worked with children, adolescents and families presenting with a range of clinical concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, inattention and hyperactivity and adjustment to new life circumstances. She has specialized training to work with younger children (age 2-7 years) along with their caregiver, and with anxious children and adolescents (SPACE treatment).

Dr. Chatav is a Bay Area native. Outside of work, Dr. Chatav enjoys spending time with family and friends, and exploring local beaches and coffee shops.
