Need Help? Call CHC:

Liberty Hebron is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC)* who has had extensive experience working with children and adolescents with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), depression, anxiety and learning difficulties. Liberty is passionate about serving youth and families using evidence-based practices and sound psychoeducation. She emphasizes empowerment and learning in her treatment and follows a person-centered approach. She has been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies and Solution-Focused Therapy. Additionally, Liberty has worked with a number of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who have taught her the value of data collection; she feels confident in navigating “the ABA world.” Clients of all ages can expect compassion, competence, humor and attention when working with Liberty.

Liberty is currently pursuing her PhD in clinical psychology, with an emphasis in pediatric neuropsychology. Her clinical interests continue to be children and teens with neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, ADHD), and improving the psychodiagnostic and cognitive testing that occurs with all youth of different backgrounds. Liberty’s doctoral program training has exposed her to working with LGBTQ+ populations, immigrant and refugee populations, Spanish-monolingual families, and research settings.

Liberty has previously worked as an LPCC in community settings throughout Southern California. She oversaw the therapeutic program at a K-12 non-public school (NPS) with youth qualifying for special education and mental health services as part of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). She also provided direct clinical services at the school and previously worked with youth and families in Foster Family Agencies. Liberty also has treatment experience with justice-involved youth and adolescents with substance use disorders. Her other clinical interests include educationally-related mental health challenges, restorative practices, and faith-based counseling.

As a “double-alum” of the University of San Diego (USD), Liberty worked as a Lecturer in USD’s Counseling and Marital and Family Therapy Department from 2019 to 2021. She enjoyed working as an adjunct faculty member and helping train strong masters-level counselors and therapists. As a doctoral student, Liberty has also supported multiple doctoral-level psychology courses as a Teaching Assistant, which has helped reinforce her learning and value for education. Born and raised in Southern California, Liberty loves the outdoors – from hiking to picnicking in the sunshine – cooking, baking, traveling and volunteering. Liberty’s loving (and anxious) Australian Kelpie, Imogen, is always by her side as well!

*You may be wondering, “What is an LPCC?” LPCCs are mental health professionals trained in the treatment and counseling of a variety of mental health conditions. Although we are not psychologists, we have been trained in providing clinically sound interventions with individuals, couples, families and groups/systems. We are qualified to work in a variety of settings and are overseen by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
