Abby Price Havlik is a licensed clinical social worker devoted to each child, adolescent, and family that she works with. Abby received her B.S. in psychology from Fordham University in Bronx, NY. From there, she went on to receive her MSW from Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work in New York City. During her time as a graduate student, Abby was able to practice and strengthen key social work principles such as social justice, unconditional positive regard, and caring for the whole person both in and out of the classroom. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic impacting in-person learning opportunities, Abby was still able to offer support, guidance, and therapeutic connection during her internships first with retired nuns of Tarrytown, NY and then with children and families throughout all of Westchester County.

Following the completion of her degree and initial licensure as an LMSW, Abby went on to work at the Yale Child Study Center where she became trained in various interventions and worked with children from ages 3-19 and their caregivers and eventually went on to receive her LCSW. There, she also became well-versed in navigating school and child welfare systems and developing positive working relationships with each family’s network of support. During this time, Abby worked with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and trauma. She also has experience administering testing such as the ADOS-2, Mullen, and Bailey for diagnostic clarity of autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders.

She comes to the Children’s Health Council able to provide CBT, ERP, Child Parent Psychotherapy, and many others. With this diverse skill set comes her strengths-based and individualized approach while and dedication to establishing a strong and warm therapeutic relationship. In her free time, Abby enjoys running, taking her two dogs for hikes and walks, and reading. She recently learned how to crochet and loves any excuse to make a new stuffed animal!
