CHC Teen Collaborative

Connecting Voices. Creating Change.

Launched in January 2024, the CHC Teen Collaborative is a powerful group of high school students working together to improve mental health and learning support in our communities.

Eighteen students from six youth-focused organizations—AIM Youth Mental Health, Bring Change to Mind, Challenge Success, My Digital TAT2, SafeSpace, and Taarika Foundation—joined forces to share ideas, identify needs, and lead change. They’re also the voice behind CHC’s SteelMike Shootout Teen Advisory Committee, made up of 15 students from 10+ local schools.

What We Do

The Teen Collaborative brings student leaders together to:

Share resources and perspectives across different organizations

Identify what teens in our area really need

Create projects that support mental health and learning

Build leadership skills through real collaboration

Who Can Join

We’re looking for high school students who:

  • Are active in a teen organization related to mental health or learning differences
  • Can confidently represent their group and share what they’re seeing
  • Want to make a difference, lead change, and work with other passionate students
  • Are ready to commit time, ideas, and action to this work

What’s the Commitment?

We ask that you:

Get Recognized

To honor your time and dedication, you can choose between:

Volunteer Hours (community service credit)

OR

A $250 stipend (delivered as a gift card at the end of the year)

This flexible option helps ensure everyone can participate—regardless of financial needs.

Note: You can choose either volunteer hours or the stipend—but not both. Your choice stays confidential between you and CHC staff.
